Create Manufacturing Order

After an Estimate has been Accepted, you can create a Manufacturing Order for the Item from the ME window. If the ME is linked to a Sales Line, the MO will be linked to the Sales Line automatically.

Navigation: From the Mfg Estimation Maintenance window click the GoTo button and select “Create MO”.

If the ME is NOT linked to a Sales Line:

• It will be created for the first Accepted Estimation Quantity
• It will be Forward Scheduled
• The Start Date will be the User Date
• An unlimited number of MOs can be created from the ME window

If the ME is linked to a Sales Line:

• It will be created for the SOP Line Quantity
• It will be Backward Scheduled
• The Due Date will be the Sales Line Requested Ship Date
• The MO will be linked to the Sales Line
• Only one MO can be created. Once the Sales Line is linked to an MO, the ME window will not allow creating another MO.

After creating the MO it will open in Manufacturing Order Entry.
