Bypass BOM Entry “Buy” Check
Description of Need:
ACME needs to create BOMs for thousands of items that are set up as “Make” items. They currently use PO Generator to create “production POs” so the items must be set as Buy. The Manufacturing BOM Maintenance window will not allow entering a BOM for “Buy” items. ACME would like an automated way to bypass the Make/Buy check in BOM Maintenance so they can enter a BOM for Buy Items.
Description of Solution:
WilloWare will create a Scriptlet for use with Consulting Toolkit-Virtual Triggers that will momentarily allow the BOM Maintenance window to bypass the check for “Make” Items so that a Buy Item Number can be entered into the BOM Maintenance Item Number field (PPN).
Requirement:
This solution requires the separate purchase of WilloWare’s Consulting Toolkit- Virtual Triggers module.
