SYS: SmartList Activity Tracker
Over time a system can collect a large number of unused SmartList Favorites which creates a cluttered interface for users making SmartList more difficult to use. SmartList Activity Tracker monitors usage of Favorites by keeping a tally of:
- How many times a Favorite is accessed
- The last time it was accessed
- The users who accessed the Favorite
With this information at hand you can determine which Favorites can be removed.
Setup
Navigation: Tools >> Setup >> Company >> Setup GP PowerPack
Mark the box next to TWK-SYS: SmartList Activity Tracker.
Restart the GP client for the new setting to take effect.
SmartList Activity Tracker users two tables in the system (DYNAMICS) database:
- W5026SLActivity
- W5026SLActivityUser
You may want to add a SmartList Object for the SLActivity table, as shown below. It tracks when a Favorite is accessed. Unused Favorites will NOT appear in the table. Join to the ActivityUser table by Line SEQ Number to see the list of users who access each Favorite.
