Routing Import Field Map

The import will remove leading/trailing spaces, and where appropriate, convert to upper case.

Item Number Yes Must be <= 30 characters, upper case.

Must be Make or “Make/Buy” on Item Engineering.
Routing Name Yes Must be <= 30 characters, upper case.
Sequence Number Yes 0 Must be numeric.

Can be 0 to 32,767.

Import will pad with leading zeros.

Cannot duplicate within a routing.
Description Blank Must be <= 100 characters.

Import trims leading and trailing spaces.
Sequence Note Blank Text field.
Work Center ID Yes Must be <= 10 characters, upper case.

Must exist in the Work Center Setup window. If it is Outsourced, depending on WIP Setup, either a Labor Code or Machine ID must be provided.
Opcode Blank Must be <= 6 characters, upper case.

If provided, the Opcode must exist in the Operations Setup window, assigned to the Work Center ID (previous field).

If provided, all routing values will be pulled from the OpCode except for the
PO Release Offset Days 0 (zero) Must be ZERO unless Work Center is Outsourced.

Can be 0 to 999.
WIP Output 1 Can be 0 to 999
Setup Time 0 Can be 0 to 99999.99999.
Setup Labor Code Blank Must be <= 10 characters. NOTE: GP does not use upper case on this field.

Must exist in Labor Code Definition window.
Labor Time 0 Can be 0 to 99999.99999

QA Sequence 0 Must be 0 (false) or 1 (true)
Auto-Backflush Labor 0 Must be 0 (false) or 1 (true)
Auto-Backflush Machine 0 Must be 0 (false) or 1 (true)
Percent Next Start 0 NO Decimal Places! If used, Qty Next Start must be zero.

25.5% is stored as 255.

Can be 0 to 9999 (which is 999.9%).
Qty Next Start 0 Can be 0 to 9,999,999. If used, Percent Next Start must be zero.

Will be converted to a positive value
Concurrent Sequence blank Must be numeric, 0 to 32,767.

Must also provide Next Run Sequence. Concurrent Seq must be less than Next Run Seq.
Next Run Sequence blank First three characters must be numeric.

Must be <= 10 characters.

Must also provide Concurrent Sequence. Next Run Seq must be greater than Concurrent Seq.

2 = Not Released

3 = On Hold

4 = Released
Primary 1 This is a header field, so if it is used, it should be the same for every sequence of an Item’s routing.

0 = false

1 = true

If an Item already has a Primary Routing, and a new Primary Routing is imported, the Primary flag will be set to false on the other routing.

Concurrent/Next Run Sequences: The import does NOT validate that the sequences provided exist in the import file (GP does not validate this when manually entering a routing).

Empty Item Number field will cause import to abort. It will interpret this as the “last row”.

If importing a routing that already exists in GP, the existing routing will be deleted and the new routing imported. Any existing routing sequence notes will also be deleted.
