BOM Category Rolldown Fix
Enabling this Tweak prevents the effects of a bug in the Bill Of Materials Entry window. This
Select a Bill of Materials and change the BOM Category. Then click the Default sites expansion button and click OK. This rolls-down the new BOM Category to every record in the BOM Lines table (for example changing every BOM to Phantom). This can take a very long time and appear as if GP has locked up.
To prevent this from happening, if the BOM Category has been changed and you click the Default Sites expansion button the window will NOT open and you will receive a warning that you need to save the BOM Category change.
Setup
Navigation: Tools >> Setup >> Manufacturing >> MFG PowerPack Setup
Mark the box next to “TWK: BOM Category Rolldown Fix”.
Click DONE on the MFG PowerPack Setup window. This Tweak will be active immediately for the current user. Other users will need to close GP, then log-in again to activate it.
