Post Data Collection Journal Entries

The Data Collection module normally creates and saves Journal Entries, which then need to be posted through the GL Batch or Series Post windows. Enabling this Tweak will post the Journal Entries when they are created from Data Collection, Automated Data Collection, or integrated into the ADC_Input_Records (SF010500) table and processed via the ADC Processor.

NOTE: Posting Journal printing is suppressed. There will be no print dialog pop-up and the Journal will not print or export regardless of posting setup.

Setup

Navigation: Tools >> Setup >> Manufacturing >> MFG PowerPack Setup

Mark the box next to “TWK: Post Data Collection Journal Entries”.

Click DONE on the MFG PowerPack Setup window. This Tweak will be active immediately for the current user. Other users will need to close GP, then log-in again to activate it.

Using Post Data Collection Journal Entries

Navigation: Transactions >> Manufacturing >> WIP >> Data Collection

Create a Labor or Machine transaction then click SAVE. The GL Posting Journal report dialog will appear and you can choose a destination for the report or cancel the report (the GL Batch will still post if you cancel the report).
